Meyer Lemons and Cara Cara Orange
- ← Previous Product Next Product →
The sweet flesh and bitter peels of Cara Cara Oranges are a clear cousin of the aromatic and thin skinned Meyer Lemon. The two make remarkable company left on their own with a bit of sugar... You might call this a "gateway" marmalade as it's so easy to fall in love with...
The Meyer lemon might still be decorating homes today if it weren't for Frank N. Meyer who in the early 1900s was sent by the U.S. Department of Agriculture on several trips to Asia with the mission of collecting new plant species. Among more than 2,500 plants that he introduced to the U.S., the Meyer lemon was named in his honor.
