Transparent Apple with Wild Raspberries
It's a little early to be tucking into apples but this bushel of Transparent Apples were a perfect match for the organic rapsberries coming out of Berry Patch Farms.
The apple tree belongs to the rose family. It is one of the most widely cultivated fruit trees, and the most widely known of the many members of genus Malus that are used by humans. Its ancestors are found growing wild in the mountains of Central Asia in southern Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Xinjiang, China.
The fruit of the Transparent Apple Tree is tender, juicy and mildly acidic, making it a favorite for applesauce and a great companion for ripe summer fruit.
